About
Lingyi's blog is a place for me to slow down. In my daily work, I spend a lot of my time thinking in systems, codes and slides — so here I'd rather be a bit messier. Expect notes from work when something surprises me, recipes that did or didn't work, a sentence I liked from a book in French or Japanese, thoughts about raising a kid in a city that isn't quite home, and whatever I'm puzzling over that week. Some of it will be technical. Some of it won't make sense to anyone but me. Both are fine.
The author
Lingyi Tan — I'm Lingyi, grew up in China, lived in France, and somehow ended up in Stockholm with a daughter named Agathe and a long list of unfinished projects — a ceramics practice, a sewing machine I keep meaning to use more, a cookbook habit. By day I work in AI; by evening I'm usually with my hands in something. I don't really know what this blog is yet. I just felt like writing things down.
